Abstract
CILJEVI ISTRAŽIVANJA: Ciljevi istraživanja bili su ispitati karakteristike uporabe i zlouporabe anksiolitika u liječenju depresije te ispitati pojavnost razvoja ovisnosti o anksioliticima. USTROJ STUDIJE: Presječno istraživanje ISPITANICI: Istraživanje je obuhvatilo pacijente s dijagnozom depresivnog poremećaja (F32, F33), koji u svojoj terapiji koriste anksiolitike, a bolnički su liječeni u Klinici za psihijatriju KBC-a Osijek, u razdoblju od veljače do lipnja 2019. U istraživanje je uključeno 30 ispitanika, od kojih 25 žena i 5 muškarca, središnje vrijednosti dobi pacijenta od 59 godine. METODE: Instrumenti istraživanja su sociodemografski upitnik i Bendep-SRQ samoocjenski upitnik za utvrđivanje težine ovisnosti o anksioliticima kroz 4 domene: problematična uporaba, preokupacija, smanjena suradljivost i simptomi sustezanja. Statistička analiza izvedena je primjenom Hi- kvadrat testom, Shapiro- Wilk testom, Mann-Whitneyevim U testom i Spearmanovim koeficijentom korelacije. REZULTATI: Većina ispitanika, njih 70 %, koristi anksiolitike duže od pet godina. Kod ispitanika utvrđeno je sljedeće: umjerena (30 %) ili visoka (33 %) problematična uporaba lijeka; visoka (27 %) ili jako visoka (40 %) preokupacija lijekom; niska (47 %), visoka (33 %) ili jako visoka (20 %) smanjena suradljivost; te visoka (44 %) ili jako visoka (33 %) pojavnost simptoma sustezanja. ZAKLJUČAK: U većini slučajeva, ispitanici iskazuju jako visoke i visoke rezultate za svaku pojedinu domenu, što ide u prilog dokazivanju ovisničkog ponašanja prilikom uporabe anksiolitika i razvoj tolerancije na lijek. S povećanjem godina trajanja terapije kod ispitanika razvija se veća preokupacija lijekom i veća smanjena suradljivost. Za bolju i racionalniju uporabu anksiolitika u oboljelih od depresije važno je ubuduće provesti istraživanja na većem broju ispitanika.
Abstract (english)
OBJECTIVES: The research aim was to examine characteristics of the use and the abuse of anxiolytics in the treatment of depression, and to assess the incidence of developing addiction to anxiolytics. STUDY DESIGN: Cross-sectional study PARTICIPANTS: The research was carried out on patients diagnosed with depressive disorder (F32, F33), who use anxiolytics in their therapy, and who were hospitalized at the Clinic for Psychiatry of the Clinical Hospital Center Osijek from February to June 2019. The research involved 30 examinees, of whom 25 were women and 5 were men. Their average age was 59 years. METHODS: Research instruments were socio-demographic questionnaire and the Benzodiazepine Dependence Self-Report Questionnaire that provided information on the severity of drug addiction via 4 dimensions: problematic use, preoccupation, lack of compliance, and withdrawal symptoms. Statistical analysis was performed using chi-squared test, Shapiro-Wilk test, Mann-Whitney U test and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. RESULTS: The majority of examinees (70 %) used anxiolytics longer than five years. The examinees exhibited: moderate (30 %) or highly (33 %) problematic use of anxiolytics; high (27 %) or very high (40 %) preoccupation with drug; low (47 %), high (33 %) or very high (20 %) lack of compliance; and high (44 %) or very high (33 %) withdrawal symptoms. CONCLUSION: In most cases, the examinees reported very high and high scores for each dimension, which confirmed the fact that patients tend to abuse anxiolytics and develop tolerance to drug. With increased number of therapy years, examinees developed greater preoccupation with the drug and higher lack of compliance. For better and more rational use of anxiolytics in patients with depression, it is important to carry out further research on a larger number of patients.
