Abstract | Cilj istraživanja: Ciljevi ovog istraţivanja bili su: ispitati učestalost i vrstu endovaskularnih
procedura u IR-u, ispitati tehnike izvoĎenja punkcije i postizanja hemostaze, ispitati tip i
izvoĎenja punkcije i postizanje hemostaze.
postizanja hemostaze. |
Abstract (english) | Objectives: The goals of this research were: to examine the frequency and type of
endovascular procedures in IR, to examine the techniques of performing a puncture and
achieving hemostasis, to examine the type and frequency of complications at the puncture
site, to examine whether there is an association of complications at the puncture site with
regard to the demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients , and techniques for
performing punctures and achieving hemostasis.
Study design: Cross-sectional survey with historical data.
Participants and methods: The study includes patients who underwent endovascular
procedures in interventional radiology at the Clinical Institute for Diagnostic and
Interventional Radiology of the Osijek Clinical Hospital Center during 2022.
Results: The research was conducted on 247 patients, median age 69 years. 166 (67.2%)
patients had AH, and 86 (34.8%) had DM. PAB was the indication in 133 (53.8%) and
cerebral vascular disease in 75 (30.4%) patients. In the majority of patients, the puncture site
was the AFC. Ultrasound navigation of the puncture was used in 247 patients. VCD was used
in 128 (51.8%) patients, and its success rate was 95.3%. Angio-Seal was used in 80 (32.4%)
patients, and Femo-Seal in 47 (19%). Complications occurred in 7 (2.8%) patients, of which
4 cases were bleeding.
Conclusion: The conducted research showed a high success rate in performing the closure of
the puncture site with VCD. A low incidence of complications was observed. The most
common puncture site is AFC, and the most common indication is PAB. There is no
significant association with the occurrence of complications with regard to general and
demographic data and the technique of performing the puncture and achieving hemostasis. |
