Abstract | Cilj istraživanja: Ispitati kvalitetu života osoba starije životne dobi na području grada Nove Gradiške s obzirom na dob, spol, mjesto stanovanja, bračni status i razinu obrazovanja. Ispitanici i metode: Ispitanici su bili osobe starije životne dobi, koji žive u domu za starije i nemoćne ili u svom vlastitom domu na području grada Nove Gradiške. Kao instrument istraživanja koristio se anonimni upitnik koji se sastojao od općih sociodemografskih podataka (dob, spol, bračni status i razina obrazovanja), a za procjenu kvalitete života osoba starije životne dobi standardizirani upitnik World Health Organization Quality of Life – OLD. Rezultati: Osobe starije životne dobi imaju dobru kvalitetu života medijan 84 (74 - 94). Ne postoji razlika prema mjestu stanovanja (p = 0,680). Osobe mlađe od 69 godina imaju višu kvalitetu života medijan 88 (77 - 97), postoji razlika prema dobi (p = 0,011). Muškarci imaju višu kvalitetu života medijan 87 (77,5 - 97), postoji razlika prema spolu (p = 0,043). Ispitanici s višom stručnom spremom imaju višu kvalitetu života medijan 90 (78 - 99,5), postoji razlika prema razini obrazovanja (p = 0,027). Osobe u braku imaju višu kvalitetu života medijan 89 (76 - 98,5), postoji razlika u kvaliteti života prema bračnom statusu (p = 0,049). Zaključak: Osobe starije životne dobi imaju dobru kvalitetu života. Postoji razlika u kvaliteti života osoba starije životne dobi prema dobi, spolu, bračnom statusu i razini obrazovanja. Ne postoji razlika u kvaliteti života osoba starije životne dobi prema mjestu stanovanja. |
Abstract (english) | Research aim: To investigate the quality of life of the elderly population in the town of Nova Gradiska in terms of age, sex, place of residence, marital status and level of education. Examinee and methods: Subjects were elderly persons, living in a home for the elderly or in their own home in the town of Nova Gradiska. An anonymous questionnaire was used as the survey instrument. It consisted of general socio-demographic data (age, gender, marital status and level of education). The standardized questionnaire World Health Organization Quality of Life – OLD was used to assess the quality of life of the elderly Results: The elderly have a good quality of life median 84 (74 - 94). There is no difference according to the place of residence (p = 0.680). People younger than 69 have a higher quality of life median of 88 (77 - 97), there are differences according to age (p = 0.011). Men have a higher quality of life median of 87 (77.5 - 97), there is a difference according to gender (p = 0.043). Persons with specialization college degree have higher quality of life median of 90 (78 to 99.5), there are differences by the level of education (p = 0.027). Married people have a higher quality of life median of 89 (76 to 98.5), there is a difference in quality of life according to marital status (p = 0.049). Conclusion: Eldery persons have got a good life quality. There are differences in life quality of eldery persons considering age, sex, marriage status and level of education. There is no difference in life quality of eldery persons according to their place of residence. |
