Objective: To examine the correlation of pathohistological findings of prostate tissue in samples obtained by methods of biopsy and radical prostatectomy. Organization of study: Cross-sectional study. Respondents and methods: 85 patients suffering from prostate cancer who had undergone radical prostatectomy were a part of this research. Archival data on pathohistological findings of prostate tissue obtained by biopsy and radical prostatectomy were collected from available medical records. Data on year of birth, sample size, and tumour-affected area were obtained from referrals for pathohistological examination. Results: The same group of grade was determined in 45 (52.9%) respondents. In 7 (8.2 %) patients, the grade group was higher on the material obtained by biopsy than on the one obtained by prostatectomy, and in 33 (38.9 %) patients the grade group was lower. The same localization was found in 52 (60 %) respondents. In the material obtained by biopsy, in 43 (50 %) respondents bilateral affection was determined, while in the material obtained by prostatectomy bilateral affection was determined in 71 respondents (85 %).In 29 (34.5 %) respondents, the tumour percentage was the same for both the material obtained by biopsy and the one obtained by prostatectomy. In 53 (62%) respondents with the material obtained by biopsy, a lower percentage of tumours were determined than on the material obtained by prostatectomy, and in 3 (3.5%) respondents higher percentage was determined. Conclusion: There is no significant correlation between the respondents' age and PSA values. There is a statistically significant difference in the grade groups, the tumour localization, and the proportion of tumour-affected material in the material obtained by biopsy and the material obtained by prostatectomy.
