Introduction: Hip arthrosis significantly impairs the quality of life – not only due to pain, reduced mobility and reduced hip join function, but also from the psychosocial aspect. In order to improve the quality of life, a surgical procedure of total endoprosthetic hip join replacement is performed. Goal: Determining the quality of life after total endoprosthetic hip join replacement by means of the EQ-5D-5L questionnaire and to determine the significance and the success rate of surgical treatment of degenerative join changes. Respondents and methods: 50 respondents were included in the research (13 men and 27 women), average age of 67 years, who have had total endoprosthetic hip join replacement due to advanced arthrosis. The EQ-5D-5L questionnaire was used as the research instrument. The said questionnaire includes respondents' answers, without clinical measurement indicators, pertaining to several aspects of life: mobility, self-care, usual activities, pain, discomfort, anxiety and depression, and a global health rating scale. Results: research showed that 40% of respondents had moderate mobility difficulties after the surgical procedure, 28% had no difficulties, and 18% had slight difficulties. There were 12% of respondents who had great mobility difficulties while only one respondent was not able to move at all. There were 56% respondents who showed no signs of anxiety or depression, 24% showed slight signs of anxiety and depression, while 20% respondents showed moderate signs of anxiety and depression. Global rating of the current health state was 65 according to the EQ-5D-5L scale. Conclusion: While talking to respondents I realized that procedure of total endoprosthetic hip join replacement due to advanced arthrosis influence the quality of life in a positive way, both in the physical and psychosocial aspect.
