Abstract
CILJ ISTRAŽIVANJA: Cilj je utvrditi povezanost indeksa tjelesne mase s funkcijom bubrežnog presatka u transplantiranih bolesnika. USTROJ STUDIJE: Presječna studija ISPITANICI I METODE: U istraživanje su bili uključeni transplantirani pacijenti koji se kontroliraju na Zavodu za nefrologiju KBC-a Osijek. Istraživanje je provedeno na 175 bolesnika od kojih je 97 muškaraca i 78 žena. Prikupljanje podataka se vršilo pregledom medicinske dokumentacije i BIS-a za svakog pojedinog ispitanika. Kategorijski podatci su predstavljeni apsolutnim i relativnim frekvencijama. Normalnost raspodjele kontinuiranih varijabli testirana je Shapiro-Wilkovim testom. Spearmanovim koeficijentom korelacije ocijenila se povezanost indeksa tjelesne mase s vrijednostima eGFR (mjereno prema CKD-EPI formuli). REZULTATI: Indeks tjelesne mase bolesnika kreće se od 17,1 kg/m² do 48,1 kg/m². Prema vrijednostima indeksa tjelesne mase, bolesnike smo podijelili prema uhranjenosti: 7 (4 %) pothranjenih, 53 (30,3 %) normalno uhranjenih bolesnika; s prekomjernom tjelesnom masom je 65 (37,1 %) bolesnika, dok ih je pretilo 50 (28,6 %). Iako su nešto više vrijednosti klirensa kreatinina (prema CKD-EPI formuli) u skupini pothranjenih bolesnika, razlike iako postoje nisu statistički značajne. ZAKLJUČAK: Temeljem provedenog istraživanja, u kojem je sudjelovalo 175 transplaniranih bolesnika može se zaključiti da nema značajne povezanosti indeksa tjelesne mase s vrijednostima klirensa kreatinina, kao niti u slučajevima kada kontroliramo za dob i za spol.
Abstract (english)
OBJECTIVE: The aim is to determine the association of body mass index with renal graft function in transplant patients. STUDY DESIGN: Cross-sectional study PARTICIPANTS AND METHODS: The study included kidney transplanted patients who are monitored at the Department of Nephrology, Clinical Hospital Center Osijek. The study was conducted on 175 patients of whom 97 were men and 78 were women. Data collection was performed by reviewing medical records and hospital information system for each individual participant. Category data are presented in absolute and relative frequencies. The normality of the distribution of continuous variables was tested by Shapiro-Wilk test. Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient was used to assess the association of body mass index with eGFR (CKDEPI) values. RESULTS: The patient's body mass index ranges from 17,1 kg/m² to 48,1 kg/m². According to body mass index values, patients were divided according to nutrition: 7 (4 %) malnourished, 53 (30,3 %) normally fed patients; 65 (37,1 %) overweight patients, while 50 (28,6 %) were obese. Although slightly higher values of creatinine clearance (according to the CKD-EPI formula) in the group of malnourished patients, the differences although they exist are not statistically significant. CONCLUSION: Based on the study, in which 175 transplanted patients participated, it can be concluded that there is no significant correlation between body mass index and creatinine clearance values, as well as in cases when we control for age and sex.
